Draught at the brewery, nitro
On nitro, dark brown/purple colour with pink head. Smells of berries, underwood, dirt, coffee. Smooth mouthfeel; weird combination of coffee notes and currants, with tannic and rather harsh finish.
The concept is an abomination, the result couldn't be satisfactory.

Coffee and dark roast with some berry. Jet black with a pink rich head. Cassis, toast and a light finish. If ABV was more appropriate this would be great.

On nitro tap at Parallel 49, pours a deep dark purple with a medium pink head. Aroma brings out the tart red currants upfront and a lactose-like sweetness. Flavour is fairly mild, bringing out subtle tart currants, and lactose-like sweetness again. Creamy and gentle. Pleasant.

Very nice creamy pink head and purple body. Soft roasted coffee aroma, milkshake even, oddly missing a fruit side given how pink it is. Flavour brings out the cassis well, balanced by dry grain and chewy barley notes. This works surprisingly well, certainly one of their better beers.
