Crack open Yeti Imperial Stouts sophisticated sibling Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti's already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can't tame a Yeti?

5.4.2017. Bottle thanks to MisoW. Slightly vegetal grassy character impairing both aroma and flavour. Other than that there is lots of malty complexity, chocolate, toffee, roast, coffee. It is very good, but the vegetal off note removes it dimensions from where it could be otherwise. 3,3. Rerate 28.12.2023, bottle shared by Cuso, that was received by him in year 2012 - possible a 2010 or 2011 bottle. Full body, low carbonation. Med-high bitterness, med-high sweetness. Solid oxidation providing lots of dried fruits. Lots of caramel, dark caramel, dark chocolate. A bit of peaty phenolic medicine, but in the context of a very old bottle it all makes sense. It is still enjoyable, tasty and a rewarding sipper, at over 10 years of age already being a kind of a time capsule. Very nice. 3,7.

0.66l bottle thanks to Lore. Pitch black body with a light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, pine, cinnamon and a bit of oak. Taste of chocolate, coffee, cocoa, caramel and grapefruit. Quite citrusy RIS with a well hidden alcohol. Great beer.

Bottle (from beergium). Pours black with beige head. Aroma is sweet, malt, roast, coffee, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, chocolate, malt, hops, dryness, coffee, oak, bit rubbery. Finish is dark chocolate, sugar, dryness. Overall: very good.

Svart med tykt høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter mørk sjokolade, kaffe og kakaopulver. Fyldig. Salt lakris, kakao, en del bitterhet og noe maltsødme.

Svart farge med brunt kremet skum. Lukter av sjokolade, kaffe, alkohol. Meget fyldig sjokoladepreget. Balansert sødme/ sjokolade/vanilje i avslutningen. Meget god??.
