0.355 l can from a Systembolaget, Eskilstuna. Shared with little Dina and Habas. Oily black, medium creamy beige head. Aroma is oak at first, tannic, dark caramel with hints of vanilla, dark fruit, also sugar and molasses. Nice wood profile. Shy roasty profile. Chocolate. Medium body, quite roasty, quite bitter. Sticky toffee. Too bitter. Quite tart. Moderate finish, some brandy. The aroma softens down, but the flavour - never!

Bottle from ??/11/2012. Pours black with a thick, mocca head. Damn that look! Aromas of lots of oak, big malty notes, milky notes and cocoa. Lots! Dark sweet fruits, earthy hops, slight coffee, sweet tobacco. Taste is very oaky and malty up front, fainted earthy hops, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, slight coffee roast dry bittersweet finish.

Bottle. Almost opague, thick dark head. Licorice and pepper in the aroma. Full bodied, sweet and a thick mouthfeel. Licorice in the flavor, followed by roasted malt and a hint of oak. Tropical fruit hidden behind the licorice. Earthy hops revealing itself in the long lasting aftertaste. Excellent beer, deceptively drinkable and complex. The aroma however is less convincing, though more as OK. And the licorice is a bit too dominant.

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Pours black and with a dark beige foam. Aroma is green peppers, little barrel with vanilla, wood. Body is heavy, sweet and bitter, but also oxidizedly acidic to relieve some of this massive beer. Spicy again, but in a balanced way. Good.

Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted, earthy. Taste is chocolate, coffee, roasted. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Very nice, not too much barrel, just the perfect amount to give it great balance!

650 ml bottle from Beergium, bottled Nov 14 2016.
Black body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, coffee-colored head.
Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, tobacco, some leather, some smoke, liquorice.
Tastes similar, pretty dry, with more wood.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes dry, medium roasty, wooden, with coffee, cocoa powder, liquorice, some smoke, slight leather.
Very nice. Greatly balanced, with a great dryness throughout. Well integrated barrel notes, just providing some more dry wooden notes. Not as good as the regular version in my option, but great stuff.
