Pour is a murky orange with a large white head. Aroma is almost like a hefe. A large banana and clove with the usual Unibroue yeast ester and some candi sugar. Flavor is bubble gum with white sugar, some pear fruit and more of the clove. The alcohol is kind of felt but it is more on the retronasal than a burning. If this was about 7% it would get and even higher score but as it is, it is quite flavorful and something to try at least once.

12 ounce bottle. Murky orange amber, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of yeast and dry citrus. The taste is bubblegum, citrus, yeast, pale malt, a bit of a scuppernongy (yes I just invented that word) tropical lychee thing. Medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering spice hides a bit of booziness. Nice beer.

Nicely done stuff. Hazy golden pour with decent head. Florals and some hay like bad Outkast pop songs. Bottle.

750 c&c from Bottles N' Bins in Monterey, CA. Pours dark orangey gold with a nice white head that foams and froths. Aroma of yeast, spice, pale prunus fruits, and something rather herbaceous. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is spice, yeast, pale fruits, somewhat roasted malt, and something herbaceous. Talk about deceitful drinkability. It goes down a rapid treat. Refining: seems to have clove; light touch of earthiness; not getting banana. The herb thing might be non-pine evergreen. It is amazing and delicious.

Sampled on draft at Hugo's this beer poured a cloudy golden amber color with a large foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and yeasty with bubblegum, honey, sugar, golden fruit and mustiness. The flavor was sweet yeast, bubblegum, orange, pepper, golden fruit, mustiness and a boozy presence that worked well. Very long finish with growing bubblegum. Moderately full bodied and chewy. Excellent.

750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, best before 9/11/2022. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, citrus zest, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, biscuit, honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, citrus zest, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, biscuit, honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/grassy bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, citrus zest, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, biscuit, honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Alcohol is extremely well hidden, a mildly increasing warmth of 10.5%. Overall this is an amazing Belgian strong pale ale! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, bready malt, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; dangerously smooth and easy to sip on for the big ABV. Feels like a bigger Don De Dieu, with more added spice. Perfect balance of the signature house yeast, spice, and malt character. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.

On tap at Blend Bar & Bistro in Hamilton, NJ. Fruity malt nose with a hint of apricot and yeast. Flavor follows nose with additional notes on pear and vanilla. Very smooth and drinkable. Alcohol is well hidden, though it emerges as the brew warms. Finishes spicy with dried apricot notes.
