On tap at Monkey 9, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out robust roasted malt, toasted nuts and a hint of caramel. Flavour is likewise robust for a brown ale, with medium roast, toasted nuts, and caramel. Lots of body for a brown. Well-made.

Draft - Nutty and dark malts. Deep brown with small white head. Nutty and and bitter with some chocolate.

Has okay offwhite foam and semi-muddy brown liquid. Aroma is all muddy molasses. Flavour is lots of sugary molasses and nothing else. Mouthfeel is cloying sweetness. There's too much sugar here and not enough of anything else.

Dark brown, nutty, like peanut butter, light, thin, nutty and a bit toasty and for being kind of dry it has decent sugar notes.

Draught at the brewpub
Dark brown color, clean. Light roasted malt aroma and flavor, the mouthfeel is quite dry and also quite weak, very low bitterness, again some roastiness in the final.
Clean, simple, boring.
