Bottle. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with medium frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is brown sugar, yeast, bready malts. Medium mouth, boozy, plums, brown sugar, vanilla, oak, very sweet, really good.

Strong Belgian-inspired ale with creamy, stable, egg white head and hazy copper colour. Rich, sweetly perfumed bouquet of vanilla, whisky, Belgian chocolates, cashew nuts, gingerbread, honey, apple cake, port, liquorice, banana and wood. Sweet, refined onset of candied cherries, banana and vanilla, sugary but not sticky, caramelly and nutty malts, smooth but full body, soft carbonation, complex finish of citrussy hops but more aromatic than bitter, woody tannins and a great deal of warming, but not burning, brandy- and whisky-like alcohol. Very pleasant and refined sipper, but seems more a barley wine than a true quadrupel to me.

Quad poteznie nasycony aromatem Whisky, a to za sprawa lezakowania w tych beczkach, nie wiem tylko ile ale z pewnoscia sporo. Bo aromat wyraznie torfowy i dymny. W smaku dominuje dymnosc wedzonosc, torfowosc i mokre drewno. Slod jeczmienny prawie identyczny do slodu jaki sie uzywa do Whiskey. Niewielka piana, a praktycznie prawie zadna moc alkoholu wyczuwalna glownie w rozgrzewajacej koncowce a takze troche w smaku. Dieabelskie mcne piwo o brazowo bursztynowej barwie. Pod koniec sporo metnosci i brudu tego torfowego piwa.

750 ml bottle, corked and caged. No bottle date but this has been in my cellar for about 14 months. Color is deep ruby with some yeast floating around the snifter. Aroma is mild bourbon on top of candi sugar, oak and Trappist yeast.

The flavor starts with Belgian yeast, candi sugar and caramelized sugar and transitions into lingering dark fruit with a very subtle bourbon and vanilla in the finish. The flavors are well integrated with not one element that stands out but everything showing. No alcohol flavor and no ABV burn after the sip.

75cl bottle @ PBF Ⅸ
Aroma has malty tones and raisins. Flavour has alcohol, caramel, toffee typical to Belgian ales and cardboardy malt. Also some apricot. Too boozy and sweet.

Bottle 750ml (PBF IX)
Deep amber color, small white head. Cognac-like alcohol, fruits and toffee in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweet fruityness, grapes, loads of alcohol. Vanilla and oak but very very boozy.

Pours dark reddish brown with a tiny head. Aroma of aged cellar notes, oak, wood, ripe fruits, yeast and raisins. Taste is smooth, sweet and boozy with some syrup, ripe fruits, raisins and yeast. Finish is sweet, sticky and warming with some oak, wood and stingy whisky. Okay.
