750ml bottle at Erik's. Pours a hazy copper with a tan head. Aroma is fruity, roasted malt, bready. Taste is similar. Did not find a lot of barrel aging evidence. Good, as a Belgian Dubbel, meh as a barrel aged beer.

Bottle - Raisin and Belgian esters. Cloudy amber with with a decent white head. Brown sugars and some raisin with a touch of Belgian esters and green apples.

Dull amber, no head. This has a ton of barrel - sweet, vanilla - but also some mellow caramel malts, a big shot of alcohol. I'd say this is too sweet, not well balanced. The barrel definitely has an influence, but it's not a particularly well put-together beer.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark dark amber orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out balsamic, a touch of dark fruits and a bit of wood. Flavour is along the same lines, with Belgian yeast, a little balsamic, with a little wood. Very fruity, with a woody, lightly balsamic finish. Nice stuff.
