Purchased online from The Bruery. 19.5% abv.
2023, pours pitch black with a small and quickly receding head of foam. No lacing. I kind of expected that from a beer with such a high abv.
The smell is Bourbon, roasted malt, sweet chocolate, figs, molasses. Strong notes.
The taste is Bourbon, milk chocolate, figs, molasses, roasted malt, big alcohol. Slow and steady is the way to drink this monster of an Imperial Stout.
Full bodied with light carbonation.

Almost black with quick fading head. Very strong, quite savoury with some soy sauce . Lots of Bourbon. Very alcoholic. A bit too much. Many good points but overall it is out of balance.

Pitch black color. Barrel character, still lots of bourbon, oak, dark chocolate, bakers chocolate, truffles, burnt raisins. Alcohol so well hidden for the style. This is in amazing. Shape
