Elegant, innovative, complex: Black Tuesday provides a uniquely elevated beer-drinking experience unlike any other. Rich, complex flavor from time spent aging in bourbon barrels mingles effortlessly with distinct notes of crème brûlée, poached figs, and milk chocolate. Surprisingly smooth at 19.7% ABV, this is a beer you won’t soon forget.

Boozy, sweetish and heavy with bourbon notes, some licorice, syrup, oak and wood. Heavy and still quite stingy.

Bottleshare XX in De Beugel (brought by yours truly). Pitch black colour, small brownish head. Aroma's: boozy, sweet, molasses, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, intense but balanced. Flavour is heavy sweet, syruppy, bourbon. Strong alcohol feel, but not at all too hot or burning. Full bodied, syruppy. Long finish. This is how I imagined BT to be before I ever had it, but apparently you have to store it for 10 years. Highlight of the evening if I may say so myself, but I wasn't the only one who thought so.

Sweet, boozy, oily. Rich caramel, raisin, hefty booze but really smooth. Brilliant.

Heavy and slightly roasty with hints of barrel, bourbon, syrup but alcohol is surprisingly well hidden. Has mellowed out nicely

750 bottle foggy medium brown Very nice Carmel and light roast aromas. Plenty of bourbon character. Fairly hot and the ABV is present.

Bottle, shared by Jon, 2011 version. Pours black. Raisin, chocolate, brandy soaked dried fruit, rich fig liqueur, cranberry, biscuit, intense oaky vanilla, plenty of booze. Nice oily body. Very nice.

Side by side with 2010. Massive difference, this is clearly more a traditional black Tuesday as we know it, with some age on it. Big, boozy bourbon, and pretty earthy from the age. Tiniest oxidation is noticable. Yummy, but lost to 2010.
