This seasonal, Belgian Style Saison is not for the faint of heart. Born in a pumpkin patch and raised in the brewery, this 9% bad boy is not your grandma’s pumpkin pie. Eight slaughtered pumpkins and a whole lotta spice were boiled in a cauldron of barley, hops and anything else we could find lying around. Fly orange with full patch.

Bright copper, beige head. Boozy palate of light pumpkin pie spice and harsh alcohol heat.

Nice coppery brownish body, mellow foam, fake pumpkin spice on the nose and way too dry and grainy to really think it's anything but fake. Would it kill a brewer to not use dried pumpkin but just throw the whole thing in? Hell, that would be fun and I'm sure would taste interesting. Flavour is boozy molasses with pumpkin spice, soft barley notes. Oozing sugar and nasty pumpkin adjuncts. Not feeling fresh nor exciting, kinda fake hard to drink.

Can - Toffee and pumpkin spice. Deep jet brown with a small white head. Pumpkin and dark molasses with a cardamom finish. Not bad.

Quite strong, there is good pumpkin and light spice, along with some phenolic yeast and a bit of alcohol late.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Auburn colour with dissipating beige head. Aroma has huge pumpkin and spice notes. Flavour has an initial hit of the same, but falls flat quite quickly. Medium body, alcohol hidden.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark brown color, almost black, with compact head. The profile is based on dark caramel, with an interesting roasted malt vein, bready and biscuity, pumpernickel, while the spices are really minimal, and it has light fruit esters in the end.
Nice.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark orange brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of pumpkin, toasted nuts and herbal notes. Flavour is very potent, full of pumpkin, sweet potato / squash, and light fall spices. Quite deep and powerful with pumpkin / dark fruits on the finish. ABV is extremely well-hidden. Really good stuff - one of the better pumpkin beers out there.
