Brassy colour, the nose is overripe fruit.  Similar palate, but bland, underhopped, which is not good for a beer called muy hoppy.

On tap at Swans, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out clean piney hops upfront, with a nice oily character. Flavour is piney and oily, with oily robust piney hops and a crisp biscuity malt. Expertly balanced, with no real harsh elements and a pleasant bitterness on the finish. Really good west coast IPA.

On tap at the brewpub. Smells of sweet hoppy notes and nothing else. Has an okay lighter gold body and a fast disappearing head on top. Flavour is soft hops, not sharp but smoothed out with other stuff on top of it like some kind of rice lager thing. Mouthfeel is full enough but not crisp. This is a very mediocre IPA.

Re rate - bitter pine and grapefruit. Solid example of PNW IPA. Light sweet malts and generic hop notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Bitterness, pale malts and some bitterness continues in the finish. Old school.
