Can from Jak's, Granville South, Vancouver
Dark amber colour, hazy, medium sized head. Mild caramel aroma, possibly a bit buttery. Full bodied, smooth, but not overly sweet; caramel dominates, touch of bready malts too and biscuits, but not too sticky; it has a robust hopping with bitter orange tones, without the vegetable bitterness too often associated to old school IPAs. Light fruity aroma and flavour too.
The colour scared me, but it's pretty enjoyable.

Poured from the tap. Clear copper with off white head. Tons of candy orange peel with mild spices, oily subdued pine hop finish. Initial reaction was negative, but I warmed up to it after a few sips. A bit gimmicky. Would almost consider reclassifying it as a flavoured IPA.

Muddy orangey brown and modest foam, smells like clove and malt. Flavour is sharp hops, strong malt, more heavy clove. Crisp and oily. Not bad, a little heavy and harsh.

Amber, bright. There's some orange, and a hint of spice, with a bit of caramel, but not much. Very bitter. The malts are a bit sweet, with a lot of bitterness. Actually not that bad - the bitterness is fairly intense, but the amber malt note is a bit strange. Still, I kind of like it.

473mL bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a small off-white head. Nose brings out earthy spice, cinnamon and some oranges. Flavour is along the same lines, with oranges, rye spices, and earthy notes. Very earthy and cinnamon. Okay.

Draft - Cooked orange peel. Clear copper with a decent white head. Cooked orange peel and a nice bitterness. Spice is decent.
