Big thanks to yespr for the bottle. Looks pretty much like all the Single Hop IPA bottles. The beer in the glass is okay, huge head. Starts dry and woody and shows very hoppy-flowery and fresh notes. Finish is still dry but also well balanced. Another great IPA from Mikkeller.

Bottle from Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, CA. Pours a hazy copper with a large, foamy beige head. Aromas of apricot and citrus. Quite floral. Medium body with chewy carbonation. Flavor is fruit, fruit, fruit. Grapefruit, apricot, leafy something. Kind of astringent. Finishes mildly bitter, and very floral. Ends balanced, with some fruit over caramel.

Reddish copper pour with an absolutely stunning head (in size, texture, persistence and lacing!)Aroma is amazingly sweet and fruity: tangerine, passionfruit, lychee, with some woody hints later. Clean sweet caramel malt is present underneath.Flavours are similar with pine, citrus and tropical fruits, then some sweet malt with hints of caramel and a fairly strong green bitterness contributing as a finish of great length.Light spritzy carbonation, moderate body and light alcoholic warming work well.Pretty bloody good, perhaps the strong bitterness was a bit out of balance, but thatβs quite a small complaint..

Thanks to sliffy for sharing a bottle. The beer pours a hazy amber-gold color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of what I can only assume are Simcoe hops, plus a bit a sweet caramel malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character with vinous notes and herbs. The finish is hoppy with some malt balance and a short bitter aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle pours out a cloudy amber topped with a sand head. Aroma was nice plenty of citrus and some pine hops. Tast was much of the same. Orange peel and grapefruit bitterness. A tasty IPA.

11.2 fl oz bottle purchased at Metcalf Liquors on 135th in Overland Park, Kansas. Stamped 22/10/10 on top of the bottle cap pour is slight haze orange copper with a big 4 inch light tan head. Head falls slowly, with streaky lacing. Very fine carbonation softly streak to the surface. Aroma of resin grapefruit bitterness, some orange peel, behind that an earthy mineral grainy maltiness. Balance is much towards the hops, but there is a malt backbone as well. Dank, fresh and sticky smelling. Nice nose. Taste is big, straight forward grapefruit bitterness, and then resin graininess. The taste is just a straight showcase for the hop, and as with the nose it is dank, fresh and sticky. Palate is thin to medium, lightly carbonated with a long dry, resin grainy bitterness that lasts and lasts. This was a really an interesting beer.

At a tasting, thanks DSG. Hazy dark orange colour, hoppy aroma knocking you down, aromas of citrus and peach boxing their way out of the bottle. Flavours of peach, mandarine and dried apricot coupled with a dtrong but not over the top bitterness which also dominates the finish.
