An arabier is a pure malt beer 8°vol/alc brewed with flower Nugget-hops from Poperinge. It has the special dry-hopping taste and aroma, so appreciated by beer lovers all over the world. It is one of the two main beers from De Dolle Brouwers throughout the year. Aging time is limited due to the fact that hop bitterness is declining with the time. Store arabier cool and dark and serve cool at 10°C. Cheers!

Bottle shared at home. Clear golden pour with an impossibly tall white head with good retention. Notes of Belgian yeast, bread dough, bitter hops, rye, honey, herbal hops. Medium to light body, high carbonation and a bitter-sweet finish.

Bottle, 330 ml, from Beergium. Shared with JFK10000 and Miro. Pours hazy orange with large white head. Caramel malty, fruity, yeasty, spicy. Sweet with sourish note. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. OK, somehow expected more.

0.33 l bottle at ’Dulle Griet’. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a massive, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity aroma of peach, pear, clove, some caramel and hints of honey. Sweetish-malty, yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity taste of peach, clove, caramel, pear and honey, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, very effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Again way too much carbonation, the same as for the Dulle Teve and the Stout, but apart from that quite tasty. Nothing special though, the beer really suffers from the carbonation.

Bottle. Pours slightly cloudy golden, with an enormous creamy head. Aroma is zesty citrusy hops, and fruity Belgian yeast, with wooden notes and kandi sugar, as well as malty notes with honey. Full, creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is fruity hops and tart yeasty notes with perfume and wooden barrels, as well as kandi and malty notes of bread, toffee and a slight alcoholic sting. Lingering, fruity yeast in the finish.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy bronze body with a medium off-white head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of stewed rhubarb, cinnamon, brown bread, floral hops and mashed red apple. Flavour of apple strudel, marzipan and nuts. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Lively fizz. Sweet and spicy.

Ennen kaikkea varsin mausteinen/pippurinen. Raikas olut, kohtalaisen täyteläinen suutuntuma. Belgitripel tästä mieleen tulee. Hieno tuotos.

De Dolle’s Ara Bier an 8% belgian Golden Ale that is a beautiful brassy gold with an off-white head of foam. The aroma is sweet honeyed biscuit malts with spicy phenols and a hop bite. It is light bodied, soft round carbonation and a dry finish. The taste is sweet, has a herbal hop bite, spicy belgian yeast esters and is very crisp. A well neigh perfect example of the style. Great.
