A top fermentation beer based on color malt and pilsner malt and refermentation in the bottle. A spicy, bitter taste with a malty finish that flows into a pleasant bitter mouthfeel.

Bottle at home. Aroma of yeast, malt, ripe fruits, apricot, orange, a touch of honey, spicy notes, coriander. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a light bittersweet finish. Body is a bit above medium. Very rich and smooth, big sweet fruity aroma with some lovely yeasty and subtle spicy notes. My kind of Tripel.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a hazy golden colour with a large thick creamy white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of yellow fruits and ripe stoney fruits. Taste has more yellow and stoney fruits with some peppery spice and a citrusy hoppy bitterness that lingers on the finish. Good balance. Fullish body with a slightly zingy mouthfeel. More hoppy than other Tripel beers i have tried. Nice one!

33cl bottle on 5th September 2022, drank on the terrace of De Zandloper in Brugge. Light haze to the golden/amber body, decent white topping that hung around for a while. Fruity, yeasty and boozy; orange like flavours seemed to lead the way, but other fruits sit alongside in the taste and aroma.

Orange color, chunks of yeast. Slight hop and banana aroma. Banana flavor, only slightly hoppy. malty wtih just a hint of yeast and milk. Some alcohol, but not overwhelming. Just another well made beer from the Proef Brewery.
