Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear golden. Buttery malt aroma. Sweet and medium bodied with solid body. No hard edges, but also not much of interest. Low bitterness.

Mild süßer Antrunk, der sehr oberflächlich wirkt. Auch im weiteren Verlauf bleibt das Bier mild, minimal malzig und hopfig. Das Bier bleibt langweilig, das Bier steigert sich nicht. Test vom 19.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,5,6,5,13,5 - 5,65

500ml Vom Fass shared with CatweazleTroms at the Bräustüberl in Scheyern. Grassy aroma. Some initial white foam over a clear and deep golden body. Brush of sweet grain, but also fruity hops in a rounded taste. Watered. Thin to medium palate (20.06.2007).

(bottle; as Kloster-Gold Hell, brewed by Tucher under supervision of the Scheyern monastery, 5.4%). Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy foamy white head. Sweet, grainy, slightly perfumed and fruity (pears) nose with a whiff of hops in the background. Moderately sweet flavour, almost medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Malt-accented taste, slightly grainy, minimal herbal notes; medium-sweet, malt-accented, subtle fruity finish.

Draught Orange-golden beer with small off-white head. Grassy, bit vegetable nose, with lots of malt. Also aroma of burning wax, but that might be the arrangement of the "Keller". Sweet, malty and a bit of soya shoots - or are it the bamboo shoots from the Weizen? Ends again on a fresh, green leaves note. Light bodied, only a bit of grist slickness. Decent Helles, definitely nothing more.
