Tasting at Brian's
Black colour. Strong chocolate aroma and flavour, chocolate dessert, light berries, weak in the finish.
Good beer, not holding up to expectations though.

Bottle - Maple, Barrel and some dark chocolate. Deep jet black with a small beige head. Light barrel, dark roast, touch of syrup. Thin.

Dark brown. Inky and flat. No head. The aroma has diacetyl, chocolate syrup, light woody notes. Quite chocolatey, with a mellow barrel note. Woody finish, with a light butter note. It's ok, but not a lot is coming together.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is a bit metallic, with lots of oatmeal, light toasted malt and thin whiskey barrels. Flavour is similar, expressing the maple syrup more so, followed by dry oatmeal, crisp but thin toasted malt, and some gentle whiskey barrel character. Fairly thin for a BA impie stout, and the flavours are ideally integrated, but it's certainly pleasant.

500 ml bottle. Pours a pitch black hue with a small almost no head. A big sweet nose, peanut butter. More heavy peanut butter, whiskey, vanilla, light roast, some dark fruit, a thin smooth body. Very nice.
