On tap at Propolis, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a complex red wine barrel character, with balsamic, and some lightly tart berry character. Flavour has a nice red wine character, with plenty of wood, light balsamic, and tart berries. Nicely vinous and woody, but there could be better integration and depth. Good.

Bottle - Balsamic and some herbal notes. Deep brown with a small white head. Soured red ale with a touch of sweetness. Barrel and earthy notes.

2018 bottle. Dull, flat brown with no head. Had the vinous note, with some dark berry notes and a hint of oak. Deep berry fruit, mellow acidity, lots of wood. Flat - no carbo to pull this along, so you get a flat wood thing and acetic. The fruit, though, that really helps round out the palate.
