This double IPA has been hit with a ridiculous amount of Galaxy. Big tropical notes and huge mouthfeel make this beer a force to be reckoned with even on the mean streets of New York. Cheers!

Cloudy yellow, thin white head..Nice musty citrus nose. Palate is similar but less musty & more fruity with a sweet malt mid.

2018-08-22, can from The Gull, North Vancouver, 8-3-8-4-17=40
Dank aroma, oranges, mandarin. Less sweet, with medium bitterness, strong resinous hop character, bitter citrus peel, some astringency in the final.
2018-07-29, draught at the brewery, 8-3-8-4-17=40
Pungent, fruity, moderately sweet, with more bitterness than suggested.
Excellent.
Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, 37
Blond colour, a bit pale, between cloudy and murky, with barely any head. The aroma is moderately orangey and dank, with a bit of sulfur. Lean mouthfeel, a bit less carbonation than usual, hence slighly oily feeling; nice crackery malt base, the hops are mostly resiny, but also with a weird, light earthy feeling, dust, and then orange peel.
Solid.

Can, Legacy. Hazy dullish tan. On the nose, mostly alcohol and overripe fruits. Could be better. On the palate, a bit of malt sweetness up front, then some sort of lupulin powder notes, really generic hops, maybe a bit on the orangey side. Fairly yeasty, and a definite splash of alcohol in the finish. The hops aren't as well-defined as I prefer in this type of beer, and the malt gets kind of muddled by the yeastiness (even for hazy dipa).

Bottle - Light dank with a nice perfumy citrus. Clearish gold with a rich white head. Grassy and bitter with a hit of citrus peel. Nose is great, but it falls down a bit on taste.

Tall can from Denman LRS (thanks, Rob O.!). Pours a hazy golden with a huge white head. Aroma is flowery hops, a bit malty. Similar taste with noticeable hoppy bitterness and some dusty notes. Not bad, but I liked "This is not a knife" better.

On tap at Backcountry, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, a touch of dankness, and some stone fruit pithiness. Flavour is nicely assertive, with dank piney hops, some light citrus, and biscuity malt. Potent dank piney hops are the deal here. Excellent.
