This tart wild ale has been aged in bourbon barrels for two months. Notes of citrus and whiskey lead to subtle oak and vanilla flavours. Pairs well with meat dishes and sharp cheese.

Poured from 750mL bottle (2021 vintage; thanks dad). Clear blonde gold with dissipating white head. Lacto cheese, some cheerio, very feint fruity tartness, almost none existent background whiskey character. There are off flavours, but nothing egregiously disgusting. Honestly, was expecting worse. Not good, but not a drain pour. Does get worse as it warms.

Taster. Appearance: a bit hazy blonde with a white head Aroma: fruity, Brett, barrel notes Taste: along the same lines but with strange lacto notes in aftertaste Overall: pretty good, did not find bourbon barrel in here, though

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear yellow blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a gentle brett note upfront, with light cereal and straw. Flavour is quite brett, but also full of cereal and straw. Falls flat a bit despite being quite pleasant. Decent.

Quite pale with just a touch of haze. Thin head. Light brett on the nose. This has a nice brett character, too. Light body. Actually just a little bit of floral notes. Simple, but effective.

Draught at Parallel 49, Vancouver
Pale blond colour, hazy. Dry, crisp, clean, with mild Brett character, touch of lemon zest, wood, and maybe some bourbon in the aroma. Good.

Draft - Sour and funky wood. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Wood, funk and light cheese with a touch of sourness.
