RBESG 2010, cask at Brasserie 4:20
Cloudy dark amber color; creamy head (sparkler). Aroma of dark caramel, chocolate, dust, pepper, fruits. The body is lean, the mouthfeel is lightly oily; caramel and some chocolate flavor, light yeast; bold bitterness. Quite good.

Medium beige creamy head. Hazy deep reddish brown body. Floral earthy wooden aroma with fruity caramelly notes. Very vivid and harmonic. Dry-sweetish floral fruity roasty taste with rye crisp bread notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-sweetish floral wooden aftertaste with caramelly notes. Aftertaste is a bit bland at the end. Very nice, though. Lovely session beer. (0.25l cask at The Coal Hole, The Strand, London.)

On tap at Sheffield Tap, pours dark reddish brown. Aroma of caramel and nuts, with some dry fruits prevalent subtly. Flavour of rich nuts, caramel and dark dry fruits. Quite rich (especially for the low ABV) and full-bodied. Really nice.

Cask at the White Hart, Nicholsons. Clearish ruby pour with a medium, off-white head. Toasty malts on the nose, some hints of citrus hops. Very balanced, drinkable flavor. Lightly sweet, with a bit of bready malts, earthy and citrusy bitterness, just faint roast. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. The roast is mild in the finish but it lingers. There’s a bit more grassy, rindy hops. Very solid.
