Bottle. dark brown color. Dried fruit in the slightly burned maltaroma. Sightly alcoholic malty sweet flavor, with some burned flavors and earthy, grassy hops. Almost full bodied. Quite OK.

Off white tight head stayed on a reddish brown still body. Stewed fruit & demerara aroma. Full bodied, thick & syruppy with light clean back. Bitter sweet fruity tastes with dark sugar, syrup, jam, malt & stewed fruit

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Biernavigatie.nl Brown with a begie head. Aroma full of caramel, butter and light roasted malts. Taste is sweet and warming. Maybe because of the 2013 bottle date the mouthfeel was very round. Nice but devious, because of the very well hidden alcohol, barley wine.

Bottled from Biernavigatie, dated Dec 2012, large sample, served in a trappist glass. Almost clear copper color, short frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, slight fruity, raisin, salty, butterscotch. Bit sweet in taste, bit bitter. Quite full and malty. Big sipper. Slight alcoholic.

bruin met fijne kaki kraag. aroma is vol zoet en granig. smaken zijn goed zacht, granig, redelijk/zwaar zoet, redelijk bitter, sterk, redelijk moutig, stevig kruidig, vol van body, romig/glad en zacht van textuur, lage co2, afdronk is kruidig en zoet. 33 cl bottle thanks to Ingo! On May 3, 2014.Bottled 16.02.2010, BB after 5 years.Clear dark reddish brown color, small tan head. Sweet, malty, smoke, chocolate scent. Sweet, chocolate, light acidic, smoke, burnt taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Warming.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly light tan head. The aroma is ripe fruit, boozy alcohol and light yeast. The flavour is strong bitter, light sweet with a rich alcoholic bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The alcohol isnt well hidden at all and alcoholic bitterness can be the worst. The aroma and the palate were fine, but the aftertaste was not the best and it lingered forever.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel aroma with hints of dark fruit. Sweetish malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish with hints of dark fruit.
