Rye ale aged in wine and marsala barrels with rose hips and currants
Also bottled in October of last year, Ryesin is made with a rye malt and 3 varieties of barley malt. Initially put into wine barrels in February of 2016, Ryesin was transferred to a marsala wine puncheon in March of 2017. Floral, herbal, crisp and tart, Ryesin is really a delicious enigma, we’ve never brewed anything like it before.

Bottle at Black Christmas 2018, 8.52% ABV, bottled Oct 2017
Hazy red golden colour. Aggressive sourness that somehow manages to blend with the stone fruit, arctic berries, light tropical.

During Black Christmas 2018. Hazy golden. Barrel, some pleasant veggies, slight sweetness, medium to high acidity. Pretty good.

Dull light brown, no head. Tart aroma, light berry / currant fruits. Bracing tartness, fairly simple though.

On cask at Farmhouse Fest 2018, pours a cloudy dark amber, no head. Aroma brings out plenty of earthy rye, with tart stone fruits, moderate acidity, and wood. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy rye notes, tart stone fruits and plenty of acidity. Flat carbonation, with a tart, acidic finish. Lacking in depth but decent.
