I detect a bit of light roast, but no smokiness. Thin, lightly sweet and lightly roasted. ….disappointing

Medium brown, thin head, has a mellow smoky note, with chocolate notes, the smoke comes across a touch burnt. Bit harsh and husky...so much nicer on the nose.

Cask - Dark roast and sweet smoke. Jet black with a nice light brown head. Dark roast and smoke with a nice light body. Very drinkable.

Cask at the brewery
Black color, tan head. Mild aroma of ashes. Smooth moutjfeel, nice lean chocolate base, some milk, light smoke, low bitterness, sweetish in the final.
Delicate, pleasant.

On cask at Main Street, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is fairly laid back, with light smoke, toasted malt and crisp biscuity notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with fairly subdued smoke upfront, followed by toasted malt. Nicely balanced, but not a whole lot of depth. Decent.
