It’s been a long return for our 2017 mixed-culture pale sour that spent nearly a year in French Oak barrels before being blended and racked on whole blueberries from Washington State and aged for another two months. Red-violet in the glass with light pink foam and medium clarity. Intense blueberry aroma matched with an assertively tart nose. Dominant berry-flesh, oaky tannins and puckering berry skins are followed with spice, wine grape, jolly ranchers, and a lingering acidic finish. Unfiltered and conditioned in the bottle so please pour gently.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy dark red with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out tart blueberry, lots of fruit skins, and light wild yeast. Flavour is complex, with lots of fresh blueberry, some fruit skins, and wild yeast. Fruity and wild. Not the most complex beer, but it's pretty damn nice.

Hazy blueish-purple colour with a thin head. On the aroma, it's got a little bit of pedio, light blueberry, and toasty oak notes. Soft body leads with some sweetness. This allows the blueberry to show through, before a little bit of acidity kicks in. The finish is sweet-tart. Decent brew, on the sweeter side but good balance.

2018-06-23, corked bottle at Oakes Manor, 7-4-7-3-15=36
Cloudy berry-red colour, barely any head after a few seconds. Nice berry jam aroma, sourness popping up as well. Good body strength, there seem to be some residual sugar; the berry juice is very strong; very light acetic notes, and some cheesy yeast in the finish, not too elegant, but not too distracting.
Much better from bottle than from tap, very good.

2018-06-18, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 6-4-6-2-12=30
Hazy dark ruby colour. Mild blueberry aroma. Medium body, dry but not weak body, random berries with some acetic feeling.
Chaotic, random fruit sour, rather than complex.
Didn't like this one much.

500ml bottle (thx, Farees!) at Josh. Pours a murky copper with a rose head. Aroma is berries and some barrel notes. Taste is very smooth with lots of berries. Low to moderate acidity. A bit of nail polisher at the end. Quite good.

Bottle - Nose is a softer berry and the taste is better balanced with a bit of blueberry. Much better. Draft - Soured berry. Clear ruby with a nice white head. Soured berry notes, nice balance and a light tart finish. Blueberry is a bit lost, but I think the bottle may be better. Will give it a try.
