On tap at Doan's, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out moderate roasted malt, a bit of fudge, and light earthy rye notes. Flavour follows through with medium roasted malt, light cocoa, and a nice earthy, hearty character from the rye that contributes nicely to this. Very good.

Draft - Dark roast and some toast. Jet brown with a small beige head. Roast and toast and a very dry finish.

Draught at the brewery; 7.2% ABV
Black colour, generous light brown head. The aroma is lightly footy; besides that, this is a wow roasty and chocolatey stout, almost imperial, moderately sweet, rich and elegant, with boutique coffee notes, toasted nuts, dark fruits.
Wonderful.

Draught @ St. Augs. Dark brown. Thin head. Chocolate, quite toasty, mellow coffee. Abundant rye character lends it a bready charm. Fairly light body for an 8.9% beer. Moderate bitterness. Complex malt character, and just enough dryness. Ok, I'm loving what the rye does in here.
