Tigershark...or...Tiger-Shark!! Sometimes breaking convention yields more delicious results, and this Citra-focused beer is a pale ale re-imagined. Bred to attack the pallet, Tiger Shark is a tropical alpha beast packed with juicy passion fruit and citrus flavour, without the bitter bite.

Can from the LCBO. Clear pale gold under a large fluffy white head that hangs around leaving patchy lace. Nose is bright citrus with grapefruit and orange peel, pine, pale malt and a touch of honey. Light+ sweet honey with a medium- citrus bitterness. Mouth is medium- and oily with soft carbonation and a flowery finish. 8/3/7/3/13

Very yellow body, very minimal head. Very faint juicy hops on the nose, must be that citra they're talking aboat. Flavour is vague floral hops and sweetness with nothing to back it up. There's really nothing here. At least they are playing Bitch's Brew by Miles Davis in its entirety here (Spanish Key - any beer works well with that song).

On tap. Pours a clear amber with moderate head. Aromas of jammy tropical fruit and clean malts. Flavors follow same though a little watery. A good session IPA.

On tap. Pours a clear gold-yellow with a thin, creamy, short lived, off-white head that dissipates to an outer ring, leaving spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of grainy pale malt, grapefruit, faint tropical fruit and piney hops. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt, guava, mango, pineapple, passion fruit and grapefruit peel with a dry, mild bitter, piney hop finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Not bad, the lower ABV was hard to notice.

Slight haze, light amber colour. Thin head. On the nose, light toasty maltiness and hops that have gone a touch woody. On the palate, moderate bitterness, with a definitely toasty malt note and a touch of sweetness. There's also a bit of citra character - it's still a little bit woody but presents fresher and brighter on the palate. Basically, it's okay, a functional Am Pale that offers few surprises.
