Inspired by West Coast IPAs, but brewed with Michigan style. The Crooked Tree is heavily dry hopped to give it a big aroma of pine and citrus. The flavors are big, yet very balanced between fresh hops and malt. Often described as "grapefruit" our hops give this beer an excellent fruit flavor that finishes dry.

15 cl. draft thx to ajax25g @ Delirium Hoppy Loft // apricot amber with a decently lacing white head // smell is abundant of exotic fruits, apricot, peach, caramel, sweet & fruity, lovely // taste is lots of sweet exotic fruits, mango, apricot, caramel, sweetness, juicy fruitiness upfront, touch of that pine, grapefruit twang, maybe even a small floral touch in the finish, defiantly on the sweeter & exotic fruits side of IPA’s // slightly oily, only very lightly dry // neat

draft @ Delirium Brussels.

From tap @ Baran. As always it's kinda hard to tell the color on a beer @ Baran because of the lightning here, but from what I can see this one pours a cloudy honey/orange-ish body and it has a small lacing off-white head. The aroma is quite "there" and hoppy with lots of grassy hops. Flavor vise this was extreme dryish, like in really mouth-drying. Actually not that pleasant at first. Feels light pungent and really bitter. Almost on the border of being soapy-bitter with tones of peaches. It also ends quite dry this one. Nice enough, but I don't feel like this is something out of the ordinary, and one is definitely enough for me tonight. 10.03.2012

Draft. Nice, solid IPA that offers a little more body and not so many hops as most IPAs. I like the balance of malt and hops.

This isn’t quite as heavy as some IPAs. Still has a very nice, crisp flavor of hop bitterness and some citusy side notes.Pours a darker yellow, almost brown, with smallish head. Finish is nice and clean and not so bitter.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger off white head with good retention that reduces to a nice thin cap that lingers. Some nice spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of caramel, grapefruit, biscuit, orange, pine, toasted grain, and herbal spiciness. Some nice and well balanced aromas with good strength. Taste of big pine, caramel, biscuit, grapefruit, orange, herbal, and toasted malt. Good amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, pine, biscuit, and toasted malt on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance of malt and bitterness make this quite easy to drink. Medium carbonation and body.; with a fairly creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden with only a very slight warming after the finish. Very smooth and easy to drink. Overall this is a damn nice IPA. Nice hoppiness and balance; and very smooth to drink.

[Thanks to MatSciGuy]. 12fl. bottle. Orangish colour with a frothy and foamy off-white head. Aroma has citrus notes, fruity and hoppy. The flavour is slightly sweet at the beginning, fruity with hints of orange peel and a bittery final with a decent persistence. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium. Texture is slightly oily.

On tap at Baran. Has a hazy orange colour with a nice looking white creamy head. The aroma is dominated by fruity hops, grass, and hay. In the flavor I find peach, hops, and grass. The beer is fantasticly round, sweet, and well-balanced with a disitinct hoppy touch. Rich and slick mouthfeel. A really good IPA.
