Inspired by West Coast IPAs, but brewed with Michigan style. The Crooked Tree is heavily dry hopped to give it a big aroma of pine and citrus. The flavors are big, yet very balanced between fresh hops and malt. Often described as "grapefruit" our hops give this beer an excellent fruit flavor that finishes dry.

Cloudy amber beer, small white head. Crisp palate, dry and turning softer. Nice malt base but the hops are very mild. Mild minerals. Finishes crisp and dry. A bit hop starved!

Bottle. I can only assume this one has sat for a while. Pours cloudy amber with floaties and a small creamy off white head with great staying power and great lacing. Aroma is caramel, bread, pine, floral. Flavor is about the same, malt forward, medium sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body and lightly creamy in the mouth.

Small to medium, lightly cream-coloured stable head over dirty orange beer, full of mini UFO’s. (Muscat)grapey and citrussy hops, fragrant, lupuline galore. Not much else; Bitter, even metallic, with fruity main flavour; lychee, rosewater, passion fruit. Finish is harsher, bitter and even soapy and resiny... but rather empty. Light body, tad watery; aftertaste consisting of the slowly dwindling hopoils only. The umpteenth IPA, and of thirteen to the dozen, I’m afraid.

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Clear golden with a nice white head. Aroma of citrus, fruits, caramel and malt. Sweet and lightly fruity with a citrusy and bitter finish. Fairly light body for an IPA, more like an APA. Refreshing and nice and goes down quite easy. Fruity aftertaste with some grapefruit.
