Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is rich big nutty and hoppy. The flavour is strong bitter, rich and with lots of liqourice on the surprisingly smooth palate. A classic DIPA from the Frog. They rarely disappoint.

On tap at CBC2012. Beer in the glass deep golden, small head. Hoppy-soapy aroma. Starts intense and strong hoppy, dry, more and more bitter. Finish milder but still dry-hoppy and bitter. Okay.

Øh, hoppy :-) Forsåvidt god innenfor den rammen, men den gir lite utover smaksløksdøvende mengder med humle. Litt ensporet eller bare god?

65 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 24.04.2010
Aroma is rather nice with caramel, lots of exotic fruits, hints of gooseberry bush and biscuits. A definite feeling of big amount of American hops – no surprises here. Flavour is slightly sweet with lots of hops, exotic fruits, mango, pineapple, caramel malt and hints of biscuits. Very good DIPA. And not too sweet like this kind of beers usually are.

650ml bottle. Cloudy orangey amber colour with small to average, frothy, lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Fruity hoppy, citrusy aroma, notes of grapefruit, orange, intense caramel malty basis. Taste is citrusy, fruity with notes of grapefruit, has biting bitter hop notes on an intensening caramel malty basis with a toasty biscuit touch scratching even on milk chocolate notes. Very fresh and almost light due to the citrus notes.

Bottle at home. Pours a pretty unclear dark amber and has a frothy medium light beige head. A bit light and compact aroma of some hops, grains and rye. Lots of malt in the mouth with some fruits, plums, grapefruit, some berries and powerful hops in the end. Has a soft mouthfeel, and a heavy bitterness. Theres a great matching between malt and hops in this ale but is a bit twofolded and unbalanced. A great beer if you love hops.

Bomber courtesy of Isak (non-RB). Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a frothy offwhite head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet and slightly malty with sweet bread, caramel, alcohol, pine, orange peal marmalade, dried apricots, resinous wood and grapefruit juice. Taste is slighty sweet and bitter with bread, pine, biscuits, alcohol, freshly cut grass, orange peal, grapefruit juice and resinous wood. Mouthfeel is round, tiny bitter and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with bread, golden syrup, biscuits, pine, orange peal and grapefruit juice.
