Draft sample @ Delirium Hoppy Loft // lighter half clear amber with a white head // smell is bitter pine & lots of bitter American grapefruit hops // slight yeast upfront, caramel, light touch of malt & hint of herbs, finish is reasonably harsh bitterness, getting close to a touch too much, raw grapefruit & pine hops // quite oily body, getting to soft carb. // Manalishi

Tap @ Beer Temple. Clear copper color. White head, not much. Aroma’s: citrus, pine, malty sweet (more so than the Hoppin To Heaven), some alcohol. Flavor is medium bitter, with some acidity. Medium body. Bitter finish, but not harsh.

On tap at Beer Temple. Clear amber colour, white head. Aroma was like walking through a pine forest, spruce, pine, resin. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, loads of pine and spruce, lavender, light roasted malts, firm bitter finish. Medium bodied. A bit harsh.

[5/11/12] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Clear amber. Aroma of piney and fruity hops. Very bitter flavor full of fruity hops. Medium-bodied. Quite nice.

Bottle shared at Klooster. Amber pour with a tan head. Fresh grassy hoppy aroma. Flavor of tropical fruit, citrus and caramel with a bitter finish.

0.65l bottle from beermerchants.com This one pours a near clear nutty-brown body with a reddish hue and a small bubbly and islandy beige head that's really lacing down the glass! The aroma is really malty and caramel sweet, would actually call it a bit sticky-sweet. It also has tones of piny-hops, but the malt based on the aroma, this is a really really sweet beer. Let's try it: Oh, it's really not what I thought. Lovely balanced between the sweet and the bitter. Cortex and branches-hops with a really solid malty base. Not much fruity exotic tones here no, it's a solid woody-forest dipa and it has this sticky, thick, creamy and really rich texture. Ends with a long lasting bitter aftertaste that goes on for ever. 168 IBU's huh? Well, it's damn good balance in it. 13.03.2012

Pours a coppery, reddish-orange with good-sized head. Strong floral/hop aroma. Flavor is a nice combination of citrus and hop bitterness, with a rather sweet finish underneath. This is a very nice double IPA.

Bottle from bierkompass.de. Dark amber color with huge beige head. Aroma of pines, grapefruit, honey, some spices.Taste, grapefruits, tangerine, pines, touch of wood, nice floral bitterness. Long floral bitter finish.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Hazy, slightly darkish orange appearance with a small tan head. Pretty tame, orange/grapefruity hoppy aroma. Creamy mouth feel. Orange citrusy, earthy, floral hoppy flavor. This one tastes a little old.

Bottle at Camp Beer IX. Pours a clear orange copper with a small frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a floral hop pine and grapefruit. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet hop and caramel malt with a nice light dry finish. Easy to drink, a very impressive IIPA from Hoppin Frog.
