(Bottle) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with lasting beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, lychée, resin and a touch of caramel. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, resin, Seville orange, caramel, treacle toffee, apricots and a solid citric, resinous bitterness in a long, fairly dry finish. More than medium body, quite dry. Very tasty, quite bitter, still in excellent balance. Lovely beer for a hop head!

Bottle: Light ruby amber coloured, hazy, bigger off-white fluffy head; medical-herbal dry hoppy nose, solid sweet caramelly base, some. cough syrup underneath; solid dry bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied; lingering - that’s understood - dry hoppy-fruity (citrus) finish, balanced by caramelly flavours. Right, right…

22 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours a beautiful hazy amber with a substantial lingering white head. Aroma features truckloads of resinous, piney hops, orange zest, and a big caramel malt presence. Flavour is very rich, with potent resinous and piney hops, a perfect caramel malt balance, a touch of sweetness from the malts that never cloys, a berry (?) presence (raspberries, strawberries) and some grapefruit. Intense all around, with a very bitter (but not overburdening) finish that lingers on and on. Benchmark DIPA.

Bottle from Oak Tree. Pours hazy dark amber with a creamy beige head. Aromas of lightly roasted malts and resiny hop. Med body. Flavor is definitely roasty malt, but not harsh, with some earthy/piney hop. There’s a lot of hop, but it’s not harshly bitter. Good drink.

One pint bottle carried back home from Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo. Firm beige head resting atop of a deep, brown-reddish body. Rich and rounded aromatic with fresh fruits and resinous hops. Hop varieties in flavour, including grapefruits, peaches, and pineapples, and a touch of malty sweetness. Lingering plain bitter ending. Natural soft carbonated. Well made and dangerously easy to drink. Enjoyed on a Friday eve at home in Tromsø, 03.06.2011.

660ml bottle from Bierkompass
Pours dark orange with a sticky head. Aroma has hints of exotic fruits, hops and malts. Taste is quite malty with caramel, hoppy and fruity notes. Finish is quite dry, sticky and bitter. Not as sweet as many American IIPAs.

Malzig-hopfiger, ziemlich intensiver Abgang. 9/8/11/11/10/11

Bottle shared by Dallas and Bonnie, thanks
Appearance: Clear amber with a medium off-white head and some lacing
Aroma: Tropical fruit and pine resin
Taste: Fruity, caramel and pine resin
A nice DIPA, lots of bitterness with some caramel to help balance it out.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange. Foamy white head. Nose is sweet caramel malt, toffee and hops. Taste is sweet caramel malt and spicy hops. Somewhat muted as it wasn’t the freshest bottle. Still delicious.
