Location: 22 oz bottle from Whole Foods - Bowery, 10/22/09
Aroma: The aroma is pretty powerful, lots of grapefruit, some malts, some wet grass, and resin too
Appearance: Pours a cloudy amber-orange color with a thin, somewhat bubbly head
Flavor: Really tasty sweet and bitter beer, nice hoppy, resiny-citrus flavor, some sweet caramel as well
Palate: This beer has lots of body and a nice long finish, drinks nicely, almost no booze burn
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty interesting beer, I'm not sure my description of the nose does it justice, but it was the best I could come up with. There was some in there that I wasn't quite able to describe exactly. It was kind of like wet grass and resin, but something else too. Anyway, overall this beer is really quite tasty. A really well made brew that I enjoyed quite a bit. A wonderful example of the style.

Bottle. Dark amber with a fairly large and thick foam. Great aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit. Also a lot of hops and some sweetness. A lot of tropical fruits and grapefruit in the flavor. Also some cookies and candy. Balanced bitterness. The body a little above average I would say. The relatively high alcohol content (8.2%) felt not at all. Long aftertaste. A nice beer!

Bottled 65cl Dark amber color, small beige head. Strong aroma of pineapple, resin, mango and yeast. Very piney-resiny flavor. Also tropical fruits (mango, kiwi). Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Nicely balanced DIPA. Not too sweet or alcoholic.

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Hazy reddish amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is fruits and some sweet wooden hops along with caramel and a bunch of grassy and hayish dryness. Flavour is sweet malts, nectar, wood and some herbal notes has well. Fruity and bittery grassy finish. Mouthdrying. Wellbalanced and rather nice DIPA for once.

Bottled. Clear copper colour, creamy head. Intense lychee and lingonberry aroma. Fairly sweet with rounded mouthfeel and solid body that carries the pleasant and powerful lychee-like hops well. Finishes with stong, sweaty bitterness that never gets aggressive. Extraordinarily well made DIPA!

650ml bottle. Pours dark amber with a small yellowish head. The aroma is very pleasant with lots of citrusy hops. The taste differs alot from the pleasing simple aroma, there is a lot of pine, grapefruit and some port wine. More bitter than the aroma implyes.

Bottle. Very much citrus hops and cookies for an IIPA. Big grape bitterness. I like that this IIPA still tastes like an IPA and not like an american barley wine, but I still think they could have used some more malt to balance the hop explosion, it almost got a thin feel to it as it is now.

Bottle from somewhere in Copenhagen I guess. Deep orange, thick beige head. Tasty ipa with shed loads of sherberty hops. Really lovely hops and absolutely loads of them. Lots of pine and leafiness and this overpowering sherbertyness. Good toasty malts and some good toffee too. 168 IBUs. Wow and never too out of kilter either. Lovely grapefruit flavours as well. Rather outstanding I would say and one of my favourite DIpas straight away.
