Dark brown coloured body with a super-thin off-white head. Aroma of somewhat fresh hops, cardboard, malt and little else. Medium-bodied; Sharp taste with caramel and cardboard - nothing else nice at all. Aftertaste bittering and very harsh - alcohol, malt and funk all prominent. Overall, pretty damn bad - as expected! Rogue does another horrible alias job...please just try a different beer altogether instead of trying to trick beer drinkers into buying more of your inferior products. Not worth trying at all - but I would say that about 95% of Rogue’s products, so its pretty easy in my book. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 21-June-2005 at Jon(R888710)’s. Sampled as Red Fox label, just another one of Rogue’s stupid relabling issues and a method for them to try to milk more money out of decent beer drinkers.

Rogue has a unique labeling method. The smell is quite nice when I pop the lid. Pour is a very eye-catching swirling experience, with its small amount of crap in the bottom of the bottle. In the glass the aroma goes somewhat sprucey hop. Mouthfeel starts with an auspicious mild chocolate or carob then hop bitter news, which immediately follows. Very cool and nifty lacing develops on the side of the glass with each slug. Strapping, challenging back of throat impression. Bitter brawny alky lingering, medicine astringent zowieness. Spading, soapy, drilling, oily nearly negative finish. S6L5F2T305
