Negra, casi sin espuma. Aroma tostado y cereal, algo ahumado. Muy suave y cremosa. Sabor de malta tostada, con bastante toque de chocolate y ligeramente lupulado. Postgusto seco y cereal. Muy buen equilibrio. Muy bebible. Muy apreciable.

12oz bottle from College Liquors
Pours clear dark brown with lots of floaters (yeast?), small beige head and some lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted coffee and vanilla. Taste of roasted malts, sweet caramel, chocolate and ashes
A good solid beer.

On tap at The Brew Dock, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out dry cocoa and light toasted malt. Flavour is on the sweeter side, with sweet cocoa and light toasted malt. Certainly on the sweeter side - perhaps too much so. Competently brewed and decently balanced despite the high sweetness. Okay.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Deep brown with ruby highlights with a quickly dissipating tan head. Milk chocolate, coffee and roasted malts on the nose. Oily mouthfeel with a medium body. Sweet on the palate with caramel an dark fruit present as well as the chocolate and coffee aromas. Smooth finish and slightly warming on the finish.

Keg @ Victorian Craft Beer Cafe, Halifax. Dark amber-brown with a very thin head. Has a light but decent roasted malt aroma and taste with a hint of chocolate in the latter aspect. Very easy drinking for its strength and there’s a fair dark malt sweetness evident throughout its character.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, reddy brown. Some yeasty lumps. Halo of off white head. Dark chocolate. Some raisin. Hint of smoke. Taste is sugary sweet. A little ashy dryness. Bit of booze on the palate. Finishes light bitter.
