Kwak is a traditional strong Belgian amber ale, a perfect blend of malt and hops with a great complexity of flavour.
Appearance: the Kwak beer is recognizable by its deep amber, clear beer with a dense, creamy-coloured head. The white wood support offers a nice contrast with the beer.
Aroma: A balance of dark caramel, dried orange, a hint of banana and baking spices with a touch of earthiness
Flavour: Medium-bodied with a soft, mellow warmth. Flavours include gentle allspice, baked caramel and banana with notes of orange marmalade. Spice and a warming character linger on the finish with a delicate bitterness.

Copper pour , fluffy white head. Aroma of pears, apples, with like yeasty/metallic notes. Lively carb, lively mouth feel. Metallic, sweet apple, pear finish, with low bitterness.

Pours a handsome amber with a big, foamy head. Aroma of various dark fruits, caramel, sweet malt, chocolate, some toffee. A bit syrupy. A fine beer, but a bit sweet for my taste.

Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di sottobosco. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale, permanendo in maniera sufficiente.

Updt.

25/1/2025. Bottle at the ITFC vintage and rare Saturday share part 1. From an unrecalled source. Pours clear deep amber brown with minimal hand. Aroma is toffee, malt, dried fruits, nut, golden syrup. Medium sweetness, mild bitterness. Medium body, smooth, low carbonation. Was a bottle of some age and was still fine.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours a clear brown-amber, brief beige fizzy head, minimal retention. Aroma of pear, light berries, sweet malts, flora, biscuit. Flavour highlights a good malt depth with moreish caramel and biscuit notes alongside some fruitiness, spice, yeast and a strong old bitter and alcohol kick in the finish. Nice medium to full body, slick. Not one of the most refined Belgium ales but it certainly is tasty.
