Kwak is a traditional strong Belgian amber ale, a perfect blend of malt and hops with a great complexity of flavour.
Appearance: the Kwak beer is recognizable by its deep amber, clear beer with a dense, creamy-coloured head. The white wood support offers a nice contrast with the beer.
Aroma: A balance of dark caramel, dried orange, a hint of banana and baking spices with a touch of earthiness
Flavour: Medium-bodied with a soft, mellow warmth. Flavours include gentle allspice, baked caramel and banana with notes of orange marmalade. Spice and a warming character linger on the finish with a delicate bitterness.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clearish copper with a finger of off-white foam that dissipates. Aromas of banana, caramel, toffee, honey and light notes of malt and cinnamon as it warms. Smooth on the palate with lighter carbonation. Slight notes of oxidation. Dried honey, banana, toffee and candi sugar on the finish.

33 cl bottle at my old man's (cheers!) An amber to ochre clean pour with an off-white head that leaves but a ring. Aroma is candy, molasses, toffee, butterscotch, red berries, hearth. Taste is sweetish, boozy, warm. Slow-sipping, slick and long-lasting, with a medium-to-low bitterness finish. Nice.

In der formschönen 0,75 Pulle - optisch schönes strahlendes Kupfer. Feiner Cremeschaum. Schaut echt gut aus. In der Nase deutlich Karamell. Im Trunk malzig, Karamell, süße Trauben, Holzfass, Pralinen, dezent alkoholisch, würzig, passt.

Bottle at Ølfred (as Kwak Amber). Pours clear dark amber brown with medium white head. Aroma is intense malt, ripe apples, override pears, gooseberries and hints of cloves and nutmeg. Taste is very sweet, light bitter and faint acidic. Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of apples, malt, caramel and spice
