Kwak is a traditional strong Belgian amber ale, a perfect blend of malt and hops with a great complexity of flavour.
Appearance: the Kwak beer is recognizable by its deep amber, clear beer with a dense, creamy-coloured head. The white wood support offers a nice contrast with the beer.
Aroma: A balance of dark caramel, dried orange, a hint of banana and baking spices with a touch of earthiness
Flavour: Medium-bodied with a soft, mellow warmth. Flavours include gentle allspice, baked caramel and banana with notes of orange marmalade. Spice and a warming character linger on the finish with a delicate bitterness.

Aún estoy pensando si me merece la pena invertir en un vaso kwak, de momento servida en tulipa, color ámbar oscuro, limpia, espuma beige claro de mediana retención. Metiendo nariz me viene caramelo, malta, levadura, frutos negros... En boca es inconfundible, amplia, cálida, sedosa...con notas de malta, toffe, flores (estoy entre el galán de noche y el jazmín...), puntito de chocolate, castañas... Servida a 6º perfecta, ahora, si dejas que suba mucho de temperatura te pega un ramalazo de alcohol en la boca interesante. Buena cerveza, tiene un carácter muy personal. Por último comentar que tiene un envejecer excelente, si la pones en guarda en las condiciones idóneas mejora con los años una barbaridad.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a one finger creamy off-white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, caramel and vinous notes. Taste is dry dark fruits, figs, caramel and light vinous notes. Extremely well balanced beer. Full body, fairly low carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Lovely.
