Kwak is a traditional strong Belgian amber ale, a perfect blend of malt and hops with a great complexity of flavour.
Appearance: the Kwak beer is recognizable by its deep amber, clear beer with a dense, creamy-coloured head. The white wood support offers a nice contrast with the beer.
Aroma: A balance of dark caramel, dried orange, a hint of banana and baking spices with a touch of earthiness
Flavour: Medium-bodied with a soft, mellow warmth. Flavours include gentle allspice, baked caramel and banana with notes of orange marmalade. Spice and a warming character linger on the finish with a delicate bitterness.

Bottle. Clear amber/copper with a huge white head. Arona of malts, yeast and bananas. Taste is malts, yeast, alcohol, fruits and spices. Low to moderate bitterness. Strong carbonation. Alcoholic warmth is very upfront. Nice enough.

bottiglia 33 cl, bel cappello di schiuma bianco sporco fine persistente, color ambrato limpido, al naso malto caramello spezie frutta matura, in bocca frutta candita zucchero di canna uvetta sotto spirito, carbonazione moderata, corpo rotondo, lieve astringente, l'alcool si sente ma non guasta, dolce con amaro moderato. Re-rate based on checklist, now in smaller bottle, old score: 8, 5, 8, 5, 18 = 4.4 Re-Re rated but from large bottle to see if it is any better.. = 3,9 conclusion - about same. Smell - weak to medium strong, caramel, yeast, candy. Foam - thin to medium, bit creamy, some caramel, sweetness and Belgian notes. Head is medium sized, creamy white with orange tint. Appearance- resealable bottle, general Qwak logo, by today standards cant give it any more points here as when I first tried it was one of first resealable ones I had. But I guess it was based on non-resealable bottle, so I will keep score as 4/5 here. Semi clear red, brown amber, medium dark. From - snifter Taste - creamy, caramel, sweetness, yeast, Belgian notes, malt. Weak bitterness in the way. Still like this beer very much, it is one of beers what made me go into ratebeer to begin with. Recommend, one of my favorites since I started rating beer. Re-Re rate on 30/07/21 0.75l bottle Caramel and Belgian ish smell. Taste malty, weak bitter tones, Belgian yeast, faint sweetness, and a bit of alcohol. Feels more like 3,6- => reduced the score to 3.7
