Kwak is a traditional strong Belgian amber ale, a perfect blend of malt and hops with a great complexity of flavour.
Appearance: the Kwak beer is recognizable by its deep amber, clear beer with a dense, creamy-coloured head. The white wood support offers a nice contrast with the beer.
Aroma: A balance of dark caramel, dried orange, a hint of banana and baking spices with a touch of earthiness
Flavour: Medium-bodied with a soft, mellow warmth. Flavours include gentle allspice, baked caramel and banana with notes of orange marmalade. Spice and a warming character linger on the finish with a delicate bitterness.

330 ml bottle. Chocolate brown color, small foamy head. Nuts, caramel, citrus, some chocolate, metallic notes, some clove and banana. Quite bitter, almost no sweetness, a bit alcoholic taste. Full bodied, oily texture, dry finish, soft carbonated. Not as good as I remembered it back in Belgium..

0,33 bottle. Gyönyörű illat fogadott, nagyon tiszta mély- arany szín, közepes habbal. Illata telt, komplex. Nekem túl cukors, boros, konyakos, pl a Guden Draak jobban ízlett.***
***
Beautiful scent received, very pure deep gold color with medium foam. Aroma is full, complex. To taste the added sugar, of course it fits perfectly into the strong Belgian sub-category. Very sweet, specifically only sweet fruits can be felt in the aftertaste, citrus or bitter flavors are not really. Alcohol is also felt, but not ostentatious. Strong beer recommended for dessert. It has contents and even the foam has stuck to the glass. It is mentioned in some places as one of the 10 best in the world, but it is a matter of taste ... For me it is too sugary, wine, cognac, eg Guden Draak tasted better.

Bouteille: Copper coloured, clear, small and stable off-white head, caramel and dried berries and cheesy old hops in the sugary nose; pretty solid sweet flavour with a mild bitterness, almost full bodied, a bit fizzy; traces of alcohol in the slightly drier sweet caramelly and mildly bitter finish. No reason to get excited...
