A collaboration with one of Holland's best craft breweries, emelisse. As a nod to Dutch culture and a little sense of humor, we brewed this one with toasted oats & appelstroop.

Draught at ACBF 2012. Orange coloured with not much beige head. Aroma is very grainy, wheat and some funkiness. Taste lots of grain again, malty with a touch of creaminess towards the end. Very dry.

Tap @ Alvinne. Reddish amber color. Rye bread and red berries in the aroma. Thin and sharpish. Lemon, red berries, rye bread and apple syrup in the flavor. Earthy finish.

330ml bottle at home, from trade with kermis. Thanks Chris! Dark amber color with beige head. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, oat, hoppy, fruity, orange. Sweet and light bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a murky medium amber with a thin broken white head. The flavour is medium to light bitter sweet with a fruity malt light alcoholic bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. I’m on the fence with this one.

Tap at Brasserie V. Reddish brown body. Patchy off-white head. Very mellow cask-like carbonation. Delicate brown malt tones. Damn, this is quite excellent. Very unique, a brown apple ale. Smooth, this is really a great creation. Somewhat incomplete with the lack of carbonation. Not really on par with the pricepoint, but still a good beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Naama. Pretty murky orange-amber. Aroma is pretty hoppy, with overripe fruits, malt and orange marmalade. Flavor has light malty sweetness, some fruitiness and a very bitter and hoppy finish. Medium-bodied.

Pour is a murky brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a big caramel malt with some black bread. Flavor is more of a dark fruit. A big raison note comes up. After the swallow I get more of the caramel malt. This may be old since I found it in a bargean bit and that would explane some of the thin mouthfeel but this was still a pleasant beer. This is more like a dopplebock.

Bottle @ Matt’s house, picked up at Wine and Cheese. Pours a bit hazy, orangish appearance with a light brown head. A bit oxidized, oaty, somewhat citrusy, a bit bready aroma. Herbal bitter hoppy, caramel, light toffee, a bit citrusy flavor. Blah.

Bottle. Pours with minimal carbonation, off-white head that fades quite quickly to a ring over a hazy copper to deeper bronze hued body. Aromas are of raisins, toasted, malts, grainy, cereal, caramel, dark fruit esters, some lightly savory note that I cannot place, toasted vanillin like notes, lightly grassy, apple?. Flavors are of tobacco, really dry apple. A bit more bitter than expected. Caramel, some tannin like notes left on the back of the tongue. Fruity, estery, juicy. Mild tea, caramel, toasted malts, bitter. Interesting flavors. Slightly thin with medium carbonation. Bitterness lasts. Low warming.
