On cask. Reddish colour with off white head. Some caramel and malt aroma, some bitter hops in the finish. Not a great beer.

Minipin at Simonโs 40th. 14th December 13. Canโt believe I have not rated this before. Good rounded bitter, elements of chocolate malt, pretty tasty and drinkable

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel and floral finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft to flat.

Cask at JDW Bishop Vesey; dark amber pour with velvety tan head, fruity aroma, sweet malts and caramel in the taste along with some winter fruits, excellent find in my local spoons.

Regular cask ale for me: never rated it though. This hand-pulled pint was taken at The Malt House, by the canal in Birmingham on 30 Aug 2013. Good reddy brown body, bright and clean looking, on top a full head. Mildly roasted malts rule the nose and taste of this semi-sweet London Bitter, the hops coming later as the mouth begins to empty the gulp down the throat. Easy to drink and when looked after well (like this one) it is a joy to behold, however a bad pint will put you off beer for weeks!

When served well, Fullerโs flagship bitter is a real treat. Not much aroma but the intense caramel malt flavour more than makes up for that. Lingering sweet/sour finish, again predominated by malt.

On cask at The Paper Mill, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of light bready malts, floral hops and English hops - very subtle stuff. Flavour brings out floral notes, English hops, and light bready malts. Very enjoyable and definitely a different beast to the regular bottled version.
