Cask at Sloop in St Ives. A nice malty bitter with a good appearance and a smooth texture. It’s nothing special, but to me that it the hallmark of a good sessionable bitter.

On tap at Saddlers Arms (though had before in lots of other places). Pours a dark gold with little head. Perfect drinkable ale, with a little barley and hops. Few things can beat a couple of doombars in the sun on a summer day.

From cask @ The Diamond, Londonderry. It's somewhat cloudy, or is. Amber and pretty close to glowing in the glass with a nice not too casky off-white cask head on the top. Really mild on the nose this. Hard to pick up anything really. A mild melon fruity sweetness, not much more. Tastes a bit more. It acts like a cask beer in the mouth, dead on the bubbles and somewhat thin on the mouthfeel. A mild red berry both fruity sweetness and fruity sourness. Almost like a raspberry thing going on. Works decent. A little chalky and dry in the aftertaste. Not too memorable to be honest, but an easy drinking casky beer this, and the more I'm drinking it, the more I'm enjoying it. 07.06.2016

*On cask at Heathrow Terminal 5. Watery-mild beginning. Not too deep, round and smooth with not to much depth. Sessionable but somehow unround.
