Tasting at Erik’s, corked bottle; 5.4% ABV; batch n.2
Opaque deep red colour. Nice aroma of cherry and cherry pits, some cheese, sour. Strong sour flavour, coming with strong juice character too, raspberries rather than cherries, a bit tannic in the finish. Good.

375ml bottle at Erik's. Pours a hazy purple with a rose head. Aroma is barrel, funky, and sour cherries notes. Somewhat similar to lambics. Taste is moderate to highly acidic with cherry notes. Quite good despite overwhelming acidity.

375mL bottle, pours a deep dark pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of wood, with plenty of cherries, and a touch of wild yeast. Flavour is rather sharp with acidity, with plenty of sour cherries, lots of pith, gentle wild yeast, and oak. Above average acidity. Pithy, tart finish. Not especially interesting, but it's pleasant.

Pink and cloudy. No head. Woody, bretty and tart. There's a bit of cherry accent to it as well. On the palate, there's a nice sweet cherry note, lots of lactic tartness, nice woody accent. Just a touch of brett.

375 c&c. Pours dark cherry with a pinkish fizzy head. Aroma of cherries - a little tart. Med body, or nearly. Flavor is tart, slightly sour cherry. A non-Brett bacterium seems to be in the mix. It's a little papery in the finish, but just a little. Very nice cherry.

Shared 375ml bottle. Pours dark ruby with a short-lived pink head. Aroma of cherry, oak and funk. Taste is tart cherries, funk, oak, a bit acidic, but not overly so. Finish is moderately tart. Very good.

375 ml bottle. The beer is a dark but bright red. Somewhat hazy. Small fizzy off white head. The aroma has a whole lot of cherry in it. Juicy. Cheesy funk underneath the fruit. Light oak. Taste has light to moderate tartness. A little kick of oaky bitterness in the finish. Cherries are a bit more restrained than in the aroma, and the funk is felt a bit more. Never gets too puckery. Fairly refined, dry cherry flavor in the taste. Really quite nice. A touch of butter, possibly from the wood, works nicely. Light and easy to drink. Great beer.
