Draught at the brewery
Black color. Biscuity and chocolatey aroma. Lean body, the lingering sweetness helps to balance the delicate roasted malt and chocolate flavor; it has the yeast profile of a Dunkel but more malt depth. Very clean.
Really good.

Dark brown. Thin, bubbly head. Soft, smooth with a light toffee note. Almost lagerlike cleanness. Light and quaffable..I like it, a nice drinkable porter. Not like any German porter I've ever had, but honestly that's probably a good thing.

On tap at R & B, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out very subdued toasted malt, with little to speak of overall. Flavour is a little more pronounced, with toasted malt, a hint of caramel and some phenolic alcohol. Decently balanced but not overly thrilling.
