Ale aged in oak barrels with plums. Plum Foreword is our beloved mixed fermentation ale Foreword aged in oak barrels for 5 months before being refermented on 180g/L of beautiful organic Elephant Heart plums from our friends @sapobravoorganics for another 2 months. Unfortunately the journey of this particular beer proved to be a challenge to say the least, and getting the beer off the fruit after refermentation was extremely difficult. This process resulted in us pulling more fruit particulate into the bottling tank, and subsequently into the bottle, than we intended causing the beer foam gently out the neck of the bottle when opened. Due to this we are selling this beer at a reduced price. Please chill this beer thoroughly and have a glass ready when opening!

Bottle at Matt's
Murky pink-orange color. The fruit aroma is prominent, some funk. Dry and highly carbonated mouthfeel, nice crisp malt background, some funk, and some fruit.
Pleasant.

500ml bottle at Matt's. Pours a cloudy rose-ish. Aroma is very fruity with plum notes and moist cellar notes on the back. Still reminds me Gueuze aroma. Similar taste with lots of fruity notes. Good one.

500mL bottle, pours an opaque cloudy peachy pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out tart plums upfront, with light oak, and medium acidity. Flavour is very dry, with tart plums, with toasted grainy notes, and dry oak. Nicely constructed, with light acidity, prominent tart plums and dry grainy oak notes. Good stuff.

Hazy pink. Thin head. This is tart, and has a nice plum note. There is a bit of wood, and with a note of fruit. Decent balance...has high carbonation but not so bad, and because my pour isn't super high carbo so the balance really shines through nicely.
