Bottle at Matt's
Black color, brown head. Earthy aromas of coffee, elegant, some alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel, lean body, the base Porter is good but not very complex, the bourbon is also nice but overwhelming; touch of tar, leather, spices.
A good drink, unabalanced though.

Bottle - Intense bourbon and barrel notes with tons of booze. Deep jet brown with a decent beige head. Very bold, but maybe too much for me.

650ml bottle at Matt's. Pours a very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma is bourbon, barrel, some chocolate and roasted malt. Similar taste with some buttery notes from oak and fruity notes. A bit boozy. Good.

Unplugged Turkey Kopi Lewak. Dark brown. This has a nice bourbon nose, with a whack of coffee, So big nose. On the palate, it's rich, a bit hot, lots of sugars but still a whack of alcohol. The bourbon comes through a fair bit. Not particularly refined, but quite burly.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is loaded with bourbon barrels, smoke, leather and roasted coffee. Flavour is along the same lines, with very complex smoky bourbon barrels, complex coffee beans, leather and a little vanilla and cocoa. Light booze, but the smoky bourbon character is lovely. Excellent.

Burgundy waxed bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours very dark brown with a dark tan head. Aroma is bourbon/vanilla followed by dark chocolate. Med ++ body. Flavor is heat (not harmful), chocolate, bourbon/vanilla, dark treacle, smoky wood, and arguably coffee. It’s a complexity. Very smooth - tho the heat may distract some. Clearly the WT barrels were not old and dry. Lots of whiskey flavor here.
