Het Meesterstuk van 2014 is er een Brew Off geweest tussen de drie Jopenbrouwers. Het bier van Robbert Uyleman is als bier voor 2014 gekozen. Het meesterstuk van 2014 is een ‘American style’ Barleywine met een volle moutige smaak en fruitige tonen vanuit de Amerikaanse hop met een alcoholpercentage van 11%. Na de rijpingsperiode heeft dit bier een tweede rijping op nieuw Amerikaans eiken gehad. Dit geeft het bier een volle zachte vanille en hout smaak.

Bottle shared on another NS tasting. Pours red brown with a beige head. Aroma of caramel, biscuity malt, raisins, prunes, red fruits and alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bottle @ home. Deep dark red color, medium sized beige head that leaves fair lacing. Aroma has malts, a light sweetness, alcohol, lightly liquor. Taste malts, some alcohol, slightly sweetish, but also slightly bitter. Warming alcohol in the finish, medium body and carbonation.
