Good beige foam and mostly clear heavily carbonated brown body. The tin from the can is coming through, with vague malt, wonder if there was a packaging problem. Flavour is muddy malt with a hint of dark biscuit. Full enough on the mouth, kind of bready. Listed at 4.5% and pretty filling for that and a little cut above the local fare for this style but still nowhere near the good stuff on the other side of the pond.

On tap at Darbys. Hazy amber-brown with a thick head. The aroma is a bit earthy at first, then some juicy hops come through. Bitterness is earthy, moderate bitterness, touch of juicy hoppiness. Good malt complexity. The estery English yeast note is good - overly yeasty pour maybe less so. Finish is moderately bitter.

On tap at Darby's Gastown, pours a hazy copper amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is fairly authentic, with English bready malt and subdued hoppy bitterness. Flavour is true to style, with lots of toasted bready malt and English hops. Dry, lightly bitter and nicely balanced. Authentic and very on target. Very nice to see this in the local market.
