A special blend of barrels assembled together in a commemorative beer to celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of the Growler Guys on SE Belmont. The blend of barrels includes an oat/wheat blonde ale fermented with a mixed culture farmhouse strain, aged in 3rd and 4th use gin barrels, and innoculated with two different brettanomyces bruxellensis cultures. The remainder of the blend is a blonde ale fermented in 3rd use Pinot Noir barrels with Oregon-grown peaches, our house lacto culture, and more brett brux.

Taster at Alibi with Sonnet before 2nd CFE Mock. Pours a hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma is gin with some candy notes. Taste is similar with moderate sweetness, sourness, and botanical notes. Very good integration of gin here that is not harsh and overwhelming. Good one.

Slight haze, no head, bretty aroma, bit of yeast influence, tart and bracing, soft malts.

On tap at John B Pub, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is big on the brett yeast, followed wood and some tannins. Flavour is very puckering, with tart stone fruits, light wood and subtle wild yeast. Intensely puckering, somewhat acetic and wood on the finish. Nice stuff, albeit a little harsh. I need a Tumm's.

Draught at John B Pub, Coquitlam
Cloudy blond color. It smells of glue and acetone. There is some mild residual sweetness, a good fruity character, prominent acidity, light acetone.
Not bad, but quite clumsy American Sour, no elegance.
